The Snapplify Foundation has been shortlisted, along with two other nominees, for a 2020 Bett MEA Award in the Inclusion category. The Inclusion Award celebrates those who are ‘delivering great work in expanding opportunities for people of determination, SEN students and those with less access to education’.

In 2020, thousands of students have already benefited from access to digital content via the Snapplify Foundation, including students at TSIBA Business School; matric learners who are part of iSchoolAfrica’s #MyFuture programme; the beneficiaries of StudyTrust (an educational public benefit organisation that promotes equal education in South Africa by connecting talented yet financially needy students with bursaries); and University of the Free State students who are part of their Extended Curriculum Programme (a bridging programme that provides opportunities to students who’ve missed admission requirements but still have academic potential).

‘We’re delighted to be recognised internationally for the work we’ve been doing this year to provide digital content and e-learning tools to students who would otherwise have been at a disadvantage, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic,’ said Debra Ogilvie-Roodt, Head of the Snapplify Foundation.

The winners of each category will be announced in early December.
